Other Ways To Help

Sometimes we cannot afford to donate money to organizations. Don't worry there are other ways to donate to local shelters or national organizations. Below are just a few of the very many ways that we can help out.

  • Adopt a pet from your local shelter. This saves many lives and helps to end abuse and neglect from puppy mills.

  • If you have old blankets, sheets, or sweatshirts, donate them to your local shelter.

  • Have you ever bought dog food that your pet absolutely hates, don't throw it away. Donate it to a shelter or rescue group.

  • Every shelter has a "wish list" of things that they need. Common items are canned and dry food, leashes, collars, toys, cleaning supplies, and office supplies. Find out what your local shelter has on it's list and donate as much of it as you can.

  • Most shelters are in desperate need of volunteers. Time is often more valuable to shelters than money is. Volunteer on adoption days. Offer to walk a dog, brush a dog, and bathe a dog.

There are many more ways that you can help that only take a few minutes of your time, but they can make the world of a difference in the life of a dog and the people who try to help them out.
